the kinda movement

The Kinda Movement is a collective of compassionate individuals, social enterprises, and communities united by a shared commitment to kindness. Originating from The Missing Kind charity, ITS mission is to encourage kindness in the world, as a way of life rather than periodic acts.

The Missing Kind and The KindaSock were founded by hugh callacher, a humanitarian who WISHES to inspire and support kindness in society and bring back a return to core values, community, and a greener world.

The movement supports self-sustaining enterprises with great ideas and similar beliefs and aims to create a global network of self-sufficient but interdependent communities.

The Kinda Communities are initially powered by life-giving social enterprises, but with a long-term vision of moving toward a resource-based economy, without reliance on out-dated systems that disempower humanity.

Kinda Magic Events is one such enterprise, bringing opportunities for community, education and sharing of essential skills and services.

Kindness as the key to social transformation

At the heart of the Kinda Movement is the belief that kindness can transform societies. this inspires their main aims:

  • Supporting social enterprises: Providing resources, mentorship, and platforms for initiatives that align with their values

  • Building Kind Communities: Establishing networks and spaces where individuals and groups can collaborate and thrive

  • Promoting holistic well-being: Encouraging practices that nurture mental, physical, and environmental health

The vision is laying the groundwork for a global network of kindness-led communities, each interconnected and self-sustaining in their own unique way, by:

  • Developing regional hubs in cities like Liverpool and Cambridge to serve as anchors for local activity and collaboration

  • Creating a Kind Circle: a peer-led support and resource-sharing network for aligned organisations and change-makers

  • Nurturing intentional communities that embody values of mutual aid, shared purpose, and ecological harmony
